Jasmine is a dedicated and compassionate midwife with experience in providing comprehensive and personalized care to birthing persons and families throughout the childbirth journey. She is deeply committed to promoting a safe, empowering, and positive birth experience for every person she assists. Jasmine has personal experience with homebirths, as she had a homebirth herself. While she was already on her journey into midwifery at that time, her own labor and delivery solidified her dream of helping others achieve that same experience.
Throughout her career, she has had the privilege to work with diverse populations-from those struggling with mental health challenges to those welcoming new life, and she has provided care in diverse settings, including helping clients with mental health diagnoses achieve stability in the local community, and assisting clients throughout the childbearing cycle in birth centers and at their homes. This exposure has given her a well-rounded perspective on different birthing environments and the ability to adapt to various circumstances while ensuring the safety and well-being of the birthing person and baby.
In Jasmine’s downtime, she enjoys making memories with husband and daughter, catching up on shows, and traveling. Her greatest joy comes from witnessing the miracle of birth and supporting birthing persons as they embark on their journey to parenthood.
Jasmine holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and a Master's degree in public health- both with a focus on health education and promotion, especially in disparities in birth outcomes. She went on to obtain an Associate's degree in Midwifery. She holds the Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential, and is licensed under the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice midwifery. Her overall education helped her to truly understand the holistic aspects of prenatal care, labor support, postpartum care, and newborn care.
She is an advocate for natural childbirth, but she also possesses the skills and knowledge to handle complex situations and emergencies. She is certified in neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and CPR, which enables her to respond effectively in critical situations. As a midwife, she is dedicated to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices.
Jasmine offers a full range of midwifery services including prenatal care, labor and birth support, postpartum care, and lactation support. She also provides home birth services for low-risk women, and works closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for her clients.
